This is a term I use in my head as an explanation of why people are behaving in particular ways. Usually bad.

I'll post examples soon as I think of them.

In general : it's compare "modern western city life" with my definition of community.

One example is babysitting. Not needed in a real community. The whole community is helping watch the kids all the time.

One thing that came to mind was the things about being born in a community as opposed to modern western life.

In a community, a person hears and sees only people in their community from birth on. So even at the most primitive levels of beginning to learn faces and voices, it is all useful learning of one's own community. I would expect this constant bonding with a group gives a very high sense of security and feeling of belonging.
